As you grow older and face new experiences, what issue or topic do you think you'll have to stand up and debate most often, whether with friends, family, or society?

 Prompt: As I get older I realize I get more responsible for the things that happen around me and for me. As a young lady I see they're still people In the world who would want power to take away women's rights to their own body. The abortion ban is a popular topic in the political life, and personally I don't feel like anyone has the right to say if I should give birth to a child or not. I'd hope this topic doesn't transpire the older I get, but if it was to get worse this would be a topic I'd debate with society about. I don't surround myself with people whose opinions on serious topics such as this are the opposite of mine, which is why even though I'm not into politics, it is important for who you vote for. 

Summary: In class today we discussed the term "Argument" with logos, pathos, and ethos.

Reflection: I learned that everything is an argument with evidence. I also learned how to separate arguments between logos, pathos, and ethos. Being able to tell the difference between each argument and how it affects is a helpful skill and an easier way to understand different perspectives.

Which part of building an argument is most challenging for you, and why?

 Prompt Response: When i'm writing an argumentative essay, i'm always confused about what to say in my conclusion. I've been told that the conclusion is a restatement of my claim, and I don't know if that's true, but I struggle with how to put the sentences together. I may be making it seem more difficult than it is, but I haven't seen much demonstrations often. That could also be a reason why my mind goes blank while writing a conclusion. In my opinion, I look at the conclusion as ending a story, which shouldn't be hard. However, I make it harder than what it should be. Talk about a time when you had to write a poem, whether it was for an assignment, event, or special occasion. What was the writing process like for you, and were you proud of the finished product?

 Prompt Response: In my 10th grade literature class, I wrote a poem. My teacher had us read a poem about a non-living object's perspective in a human's daily life. As a result of that poem, she had us write about a object we use everyday but from it's perspective. I wrote a poem about lip gloss. The writing process of the poem was very creative considering I feel like I need to take lip gloss with me everywhere. I wrote about the shape, the use of it, and how once it runs out I replace it. I was satisfied with my finished product, and my teacher loved the object choice I used. She also told us to make the paper colorful with pictures so I wrote the lip gloss I was using at the time, which was the elf lip oil, and flowers.
